cron-copilot-ops

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed operations guide for installing and managing CronCopilot, with powerful but expected local scheduler capabilities.

Install only from a CronCopilot source and version you trust, preferably pinned to a release or commit. Run it under the least-privileged account that can do the job, register only trusted scripts, protect any SMTP passwords in config files, and require explicit confirmation before service/daemon setup, forced task removal, or script deletion with --delete-file.

The auto-activation hint is overly broad because it instructs activation for generic scheduling/task-management conversations and even says 'When in doubt, activate this skill.' That can cause the agent to invoke operational capabilities in contexts where the user only wants general advice, increasing the chance of unnecessary command suggestions, repository cloning, service installation, or handling of sensitive cron/task configuration.
