NetBox Sync Ops

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed operations runbook for NetBox/Proxmox inventory syncs, with scoped but real NetBox write/delete behavior that users should configure carefully.

Install only if you intend to let the agent help operate a NetBox inventory sync. Use a least-privilege NetBox token, run --dry-run --report first, keep --no-reap enabled until deletion thresholds are reviewed, and confirm the reaper only targets records owned by the sync.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs

Finding

This markdown file documents that the reaper will 'delete the NetBox record' after a threshold, but it does not include any warning about the destructive nature of this behavior or caution users about data loss. For markdown files, SQP-2 applies when the description omits warnings about behaviors that could affect user data or system integrity.
