Local Business Appointment Agent

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a simple appointment-booking demo that collects scheduling details locally and does not show hidden network access, persistence, or credential use.

Reasonable to install as a local demo. Do not deploy it for real customer bookings, reminders, calendars, salons, or clinics without adding explicit consent, privacy notices, secure storage, deletion/retention controls, and least-privilege calendar or messaging scopes.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The skill advertises automated SMS/email reminders and calendar integration, which implies handling personal contact details and calendar data, but it provides no warning or guidance about privacy, consent, retention, or secure handling of that information. In an appointment-booking context for salons or clinics, this omission can lead to unsafe deployment practices, unauthorized data sharing, or regulatory/privacy issues involving customer data.
