Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a small, disclosed gas-price API helper; its main user risk is that some documented endpoints cost real USDC per request.

Installers should understand that /gas/basic and /gas/premium are paid x402 endpoints on Base using USDC, so configure agents to ask before paid requests or use /gas/demo when payment is not intended.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Missing User Warnings

Finding

The skill advertises paid endpoints using x402 on Base with USDC but never clearly warns that invoking them will spend real funds. In an agent setting, this can cause unintended on-chain micropayments and repeated charges if the model selects these endpoints automatically while comparing chains or retrying requests.
