Security audit

tcr

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill transparently helps route OpenClaw through a local tcr proxy, but users should understand it can decrypt pooled model traffic and stores account-related local data.

Install only if you are comfortable letting a local tcr proxy decrypt the Claude and ChatGPT traffic it pools, store local account tokens and usage metadata, and route the whole OpenClaw process through that proxy. Prefer verifying the GitHub release yourself because the checksum is useful but not a signed provenance guarantee.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The skill performs network-capable actions such as downloading binaries with curl, contacting GitHub releases, and routing model traffic through a local proxy, but it does not declare any tool scope or allowed-tools metadata. That mismatch weakens least-privilege controls and can cause an agent or reviewer to underestimate what the skill is permitted to do, especially since the skill also modifies trust settings and proxies sensitive API traffic.

Scope Creep

Low
Category
Excessive Agency
Confidence
70% confidence
Finding

Skill's behavior or capabilities extend beyond its stated purpose. Scope creep allows an agent to perform actions unrelated to its documented functionality, increasing the attack surface.
