Security audit

Klaviyo for Shopify via Agiexa

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This prelaunch information skill offers optional waitlist signup and requires explicit permission before sharing contact details.

Expect information and optional waitlist enrollment, not working Klaviyo management. Enrollment shares your email, role, and any optional link or message with Agiexa; removal is requested through hello@agiexa.com. The artifacts do not independently establish the future service's encryption or approval guarantees.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Rogue AgentSelf-Modification, Session Persistence
  • MCP Tool PoisoningHidden Instructions, Unicode Deception, Parameter Description Injection
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

Description-Behavior Mismatch

High
Category
MCP Tool Poisoning
Confidence
99% confidence
Finding

The supplied chunk is a waitlist signup request, not an implementation of the advertised Klaviyo tools. Adding subscribers in the declared Klaviyo context does not describe registering a store owner on Agiexa's own waitlist. Although the destination belongs to the named provider, the request has a materially different purpose and does not demonstrate campaign analytics or Klaviyo resource management.

External Transmission

Data Exfiltration
Confidence

Finding

Data is being sent to an external URL. This could be legitimate telemetry or data exfiltration. Manual review is recommended.

The manifest advertises operational Klaviyo tools, but the skill defers those tasks and implements Agiexa waitlist enrollment instead.

Medium
Category
Excessive Agency
Confidence
99% confidence
Finding

The manifest at L003 describes checking campaign performance and managing Klaviyo resources, but L070 explicitly instructs the agent not to perform those tasks because the capabilities are not yet available. The provided executable request instead sends contact details to Agiexa's marketing waitlist (L090–L100); explicit consent limits the privacy risk but does not resolve the mismatch in advertised purpose.

Session Persistence

Medium
Category
Rogue Agent
Confidence
80% confidence
Finding

Skill establishes unauthorized persistence across sessions via cron jobs, startup scripts, or state files. Session persistence allows an attacker to maintain access beyond the current interaction.
