Cleaning Up Bookkeeping

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill gives scoped bookkeeping cleanup instructions for SuperBooks and requires user approval before making changes.

Install only if you are comfortable letting the agent read SuperBooks bookkeeping data and apply approved transaction/category/status or receipt-matching updates. Review proposed tables carefully before approving batches, since financial records can still be changed even though deletion is not offered.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

Skill enables autonomous high-impact decisions without human-in-the-loop verification. Critical operations (destructive commands, financial transactions, data deletion) should require explicit user confirmation.

- No change without the user's approval of that specific change. Batches are fine once the user approves the batch.
- Never guess a category slug; use one returned by `external_categories_list`.
- Deleting transactions, receipts, or categories is not offered here. Destructive operations are off by default for the team; do not ask the user to turn them on.
- Each credential is limited to 120 calls a minute. For large batches, work in chunks of about 50 and report progress between them.
