Amazon Product Scraper

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill coherently scrapes user-requested Amazon product pages and saves a local competitive-analysis report, with no hidden code or credential use found.

Install only if you want a Chinese-language Amazon competitor-analysis workflow. Be aware it opens Amazon pages with the browser tool and saves each generated report locally under memory/, so avoid including sensitive internal notes unless you are comfortable with that local persistence.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The skill explicitly writes a report to a local memory path without clearly telling the user up front that a file will be created as part of normal operation. Undisclosed persistence can surprise users, retain scraped third-party content longer than expected, and create privacy or workspace hygiene issues if sensitive inputs, proprietary analysis, or product research are stored automatically.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
80% confidence
Finding

The natural-language description presents the skill in Chinese and the report template/output instructions are also Chinese-centric, with no indication that users may choose another language. This can violate language/locale policy when a skill forces a specific language without user opt-in.
