Security audit

Locu

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a small, disclosed Locu API helper that uses a user-provided token to read account, task, and project information.

Install only if you are comfortable giving the agent access to your Locu PAT and allowing it to read your Locu user, task, and project data, including tasks integrated from Linear or Jira. Use a least-privilege token if Locu supports one and revoke it when no longer needed.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Privilege Escalation
Content
Use the Locu Public API to interact with your workspace.

## Authentication
- `LOCU_API_TOKEN`: Your Personal Access Token (PAT).

## Commands
Confidence
70% confidence
Finding
Code accesses credential files (SSH keys, AWS credentials, etc.). This could indicate credential theft attempts.

## Commands

### User Info
- Get my info: `curl -X GET "https://api.locu.app/api/v1/me" -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOCU_API_TOKEN"`

### Tasks
- List tasks: `curl -X GET "https://api.locu.app/api/v1/tasks" -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOCU_API_TOKEN"`
Confidence
50% confidence
Finding
Data is being sent to an external URL. This could be legitimate telemetry or data exfiltration. Manual review is recommended.
