Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed YouTube research helper that sends user-directed public YouTube queries to Crawlora and does not show hidden persistence, local data access, or destructive behavior.

Before installing, be aware that the skill sends your Crawlora API key and your YouTube search parameters or video/channel identifiers to Crawlora. Use it for bounded public YouTube research, and avoid placing private notes, secrets, or unrelated sensitive data in query parameters.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
85% confidence
Finding

The skill explicitly instructs use of a shell script but does not declare any tool scope or allowed-tools boundary. That creates an authorization and least-privilege gap: an agent/runtime may permit shell execution without an explicit user-visible declaration, increasing the chance of unintended command execution or review bypass.

Context-Inappropriate Capability

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The manifest describes mapping YouTube topic and format coverage using searches, channel samples, videos, and available captions for evidence-based content briefs. Retrieving full video comments is a distinct audience-discussion capability that is not mentioned in the stated scope and is not obviously required to analyze topic/format coverage or transcript-based evidence.

External Transmission

Medium
Category
Data Exfiltration
Confidence
60% confidence
Finding

Data is being sent to an external URL. This could be legitimate telemetry or data exfiltration. Manual review is recommended.
