Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed supply-chain research helper that sends scoped public-company queries to Crawlora and does not show hidden persistence, privilege escalation, local data harvesting, or destructive behavior.

Install only if you are comfortable sending company names, search terms, public URLs, scrape requests, and your Crawlora API key to Crawlora. Keep requests limited to the companies and time windows you intend to analyze, and avoid putting confidential supplier lists or private procurement data into queries unless you are allowed to share that data with the API provider.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
88% confidence
Finding

The skill invokes shell capability via scripts/crawlora.sh but does not declare any tool scope restrictions such as permissions or allowed-tools. That creates unnecessary execution latitude and weakens policy enforcement, increasing the risk that the skill could run unintended local commands or be granted broader execution than reviewers expect.

Context-Inappropriate Capability

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The manifest describes a narrowly scoped skill for producing sourced supply-chain exposure briefs using ImportYeti company reports and public company evidence. While public-company evidence can justify some web lookups, this endpoint set exposes general-purpose Bing search, arbitrary URL scraping, and brand retrieval capabilities that go beyond the clearly stated concentration-analysis function and could support unrelated reconnaissance tasks.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The natural-language description states that Bing search defaults to country=us and lang=en-us, which imposes a specific locale in the documented behavior. The file does not indicate user opt-in, a locale choice requirement, or a region-specific justification for this default.
