sec-insider-transaction-analysis

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed SEC insider-transaction research helper that queries Crawlora for public filing data and does not show hidden, destructive, or persistent behavior.

Install only if you are comfortable using Crawlora as the data provider and sending your Crawlora API key plus selected SEC/company query parameters to Crawlora. Treat the results as filing-analysis support, not trading authorization or legal conclusions.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
84% confidence
Finding

The skill explicitly instructs use of a shell script (scripts/crawlora.sh) but does not declare any tool restrictions such as permissions or allowed-tools. That creates unnecessary execution capability and weakens least-privilege boundaries, increasing the chance an agent can invoke shell access more broadly than intended if the skill is reused or extended.
