Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed Microsoft Store research helper that uses a Crawlora API key to fetch public store data and does not show hidden persistence, destructive behavior, or unrelated data access.

Install only if you are comfortable sending Microsoft Store research queries and your Crawlora API key to Crawlora. Keep requests scoped to the research task and monitor API credit use.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The skill invokes shell-based functionality via scripts/crawlora.sh but does not declare an explicit tool scope such as allowed-tools or permissions. That creates avoidable ambiguity about what execution capabilities the skill requires and weakens policy enforcement, increasing the chance of unintended command execution paths or broader-than-necessary runtime access.
