Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a bounded public business-reputation research helper that uses a fixed Crawlora API endpoint and does not show hidden persistence, destructive behavior, or credential theft.

Install only if you are comfortable using a Crawlora API key and sending your business or venue queries to Crawlora. Treat returned reviews, complaints, scam reports, menus, and photos as public but potentially incomplete or sensitive, and avoid repeating private individuals' contact details from report narratives.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • MCP Tool PoisoningHidden Instructions, Unicode Deception, Parameter Description Injection
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The skill demonstrates shell-based execution via the documented scripts/crawlora.sh examples but does not declare an explicit tool scope such as permissions or allowed-tools. In an agent environment, missing scope boundaries can allow broader-than-intended command execution or make it unclear what tooling is authorized, increasing the chance of unsafe reuse or privilege creep.

Finding

Data is being sent to an external URL. This could be legitimate telemetry or data exfiltration. Manual review is recommended.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
92% confidence
Finding

Lines L206-L207 state that the locale parameter defaults to en-US, which is a language/locale constraint expressed in natural language. The file does not indicate user choice, opt-in, or a documented reason for forcing that locale, so it fits the locale-policy concern.
