Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed Kohl's research helper that sends user-selected catalog, review, suggestion, or store lookup requests to Crawlora and does not show hidden or destructive behavior.

Install only if you are comfortable using a Crawlora API key and sending Kohl's lookup terms, product IDs, and any store-search location you provide to Crawlora. Prefer city or ZIP over a full address unless precise store lookup is needed, and keep the API key in the environment rather than code or shared logs.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding
The skill invokes shell commands via `scripts/crawlora.sh` but does not declare any `permissions` or `allowed-tools` scope. That creates an authorization gap where an agent may execute shell/network actions broader than the skill metadata communicates, increasing the chance of unintended command execution or over-privileged use.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Confidence
96% confidence
Finding
The `kohls_stores` endpoint explicitly accepts free-text location data such as city/state, ZIP code, or full address, but the reference provides no warning that this information is transmitted to the external Crawlora API. That omission can cause users or downstream agents to disclose sensitive location data without informed consent, which is a real privacy and data-handling risk even though the endpoint behavior itself is expected for store lookup.

# Crawlora REST helper — minimal, dependency-free (curl only).
# Calls https://api.crawlora.net/api/v1 with your Crawlora API key.

Finding
Data is being sent to an external URL. This could be legitimate telemetry or data exfiltration. Manual review is recommended.
