Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed research helper for querying Crawlora/SEC institutional ownership data, with no evidence of hidden persistence, destructive actions, or unrelated data access.

Install only if you are comfortable giving Crawlora queries and your Crawlora API key to the Crawlora API. Keep the key scoped and private, monitor API credit usage, and remember the results are delayed reported 13F data rather than current trading or account information.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
92% confidence
Finding

The skill explicitly instructs use of a bundled shell script but does not declare any tool restrictions or allowed-tools scope. That mismatch can cause the agent to invoke shell capability implicitly, increasing the attack surface and making it easier for later edits or prompt injections to abuse shell access beyond the narrow intended API-calling purpose.
