football-player-comparison

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed football statistics helper that uses a bounded Crawlora API wrapper and does not show hidden persistence, destructive actions, or unrelated data access.

Install only if you are comfortable sending player lookup and statistics queries to Crawlora with your Crawlora API key. Keep CRAWLORA_API_KEY private, review API credit usage, and prefer the MCP tools when available; the bundled script is narrowly scoped but still makes authenticated external network requests.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
96% confidence
Finding

The skill invokes shell-based capabilities via scripts/crawlora.sh but does not declare any permissions or allowed-tools scope. That mismatch weakens policy enforcement and reviewability, making it easier for an agent or operator to run broader shell actions than the skill behavior strictly requires.

Missing User Warnings

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
86% confidence
Finding

This markdown file instructs callers to use the x-api-key: $CRAWLORA_API_KEY header, which involves sensitive credential use. The file does not include any warning or handling guidance about protecting the API key, avoiding accidental logging/sharing, or the fact that requests transmit authenticated data to an external service.
