Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed event-research helper that sends user-chosen event queries to Crawlora's API and does not show hidden persistence, privilege escalation, or unrelated local data access.

Before installing, confirm you are comfortable giving Crawlora your API key and the event-search parameters you ask the agent to send. Use it for public event research, review the bundled shell script if your environment restricts shell execution, and avoid passing private notes or unrelated sensitive data in query/body values.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
92% confidence
Finding
The skill explicitly instructs the user to run a bundled shell script, but the manifest does not declare any tool restrictions or allowed tool scope. That mismatch increases the chance an agent or reviewer will permit shell execution without clear policy boundaries, which can enable unintended command execution or unsafe handling of secrets such as the API key.

# Crawlora REST helper — minimal, dependency-free (curl only).

Confidence

Finding
Data is being sent to an external URL. This could be legitimate telemetry or data exfiltration. Manual review is recommended.
