Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a bounded research helper that clearly uses the Crawlora API and includes reasonable limits and safeguards for that purpose.

Install only if you are comfortable sending your research queries, selected URLs/domains, and Crawlora API key-authenticated requests to Crawlora. Set conservative credit and page limits, review partial-coverage warnings, and avoid submitting private or sensitive content unless that matches your Crawlora account policies.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The skill invokes shell commands via scripts/crawlora.sh but does not declare any explicit tool restrictions or allowed-tool scope. That increases the chance an agent runtime will grant broader shell access than intended, enabling command execution beyond the narrowly described research workflow.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
91% confidence
Finding

The natural-language description states that country and language select the result locale and that they default to us and en-us. This imposes a specific locale by default in the skill documentation without mentioning user opt-in or a neutral fallback, which matches the policy concern for language/locale constraints.
