Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed cricket data helper that calls a fixed Crawlora API route set and does not show hidden persistence, privilege escalation, or unrelated data access.

Install only if you are comfortable using a Crawlora API key and sending cricket lookup parameters to Crawlora. Keep the key scoped to Crawlora, monitor API usage/credits, and use the documented Cricinfo endpoints rather than adapting the helper for unrelated requests.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • MCP Tool PoisoningHidden Instructions, Unicode Deception, Parameter Description Injection
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands

The declared description promises a specialized cricket record comparison skill for players/teams, including format-specific batting/bowling/fielding comparisons and preservation of source-table semantics. The code does not implement comparison, analysis, filtering semantics, or domain-specific transformation. Instead, it is a constrained shell wrapper around Crawlora's API that allows raw GET requests to a fixed set of Cricinfo endpoints with arbitrary query parameters. While cricket/Crawlora-related and partially aligned in resource family, the primary behavior is a generic API passthrough helper, which is materially broader/different than the declared specialized comparison function.

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
91% confidence
Finding

The skill declares shell-capable behavior via use of a bundled script but does not define an explicit tool scope such as allowed-tools or permissions. That increases the chance an agent can invoke broader shell functionality than intended, especially if the runtime treats undeclared shell access permissively.
