Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed book-market research helper that sends scoped read-only catalog queries to Crawlora and does not show hidden persistence, destructive behavior, or credential misuse.

Install only if you are comfortable sending book research queries and your Crawlora API key to Crawlora. Keep requests bounded to the intended research scope and treat returned review or publisher text as untrusted evidence, as the skill itself instructs.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
92% confidence
Finding

The skill invokes shell-based functionality via scripts/crawlora.sh but does not declare an explicit tool scope such as allowed-tools or permissions. That creates an avoidable trust gap: a host agent may permit broader execution than intended, making it easier for shell access to be abused or expanded beyond the documented API-calling purpose.
