Plans Methodology

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a planning template that tells the agent how to organize project plans in the workspace, with no hidden code or external data access.

Install this if you want agents to maintain structured plan files in your workspace. Review the plans/ contents periodically because the skill encourages agents to continue from stored plan state across sessions.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The skill description uses very broad activation terms such as creating, managing, reviewing, delegating plans, and reviewing status, which can match many ordinary user requests. This can cause the skill to be invoked unnecessarily, expanding its influence over routine interactions and increasing the chance that its workflow constraints override more appropriate behavior or cause unintended file operations in the workspace.
