Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a documentation-only Nasal library reference; the clipboard section could better warn users that setText overwrites the current clipboard, but the behavior is disclosed and proportionate.

Safe to install as reference documentation. Be aware that code copied from the clipboard examples can read or replace your system clipboard, so review generated Nasal code before running it if preserving current clipboard contents matters.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

This markdown file documents clipboard.setText, which changes the host system clipboard, but it does not include any warning about affecting user data or the system clipboard state. Because SQP-2 applies to markdown files when behaviors could affect user data, a brief disclosure would improve safety expectations.
