Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed local college application tracker, with sensitive student and financial-aid data handling that is purpose-aligned and bounded.

Install only if you are comfortable keeping student college-planning information in an unencrypted local file on this computer. Avoid entering full names, birthdates, Social Security numbers, FSA IDs, passwords, tax returns, bank details, or detailed household financial figures, and use the documented delete commands when the tracker is no longer needed.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • MCP Tool PoisoningHidden Instructions, Unicode Deception, Parameter Description Injection
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

Line L397 says to never use em dashes, but the same line includes examples written as '---' and '--', which are not em dashes and are also used extensively elsewhere in the document as section separators. This is an internal documentation contradiction that could mislead the agent about what formatting is actually prohibited.
