Security audit

Data Quality Validator

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This data-quality skill is a coherent Markdown-only guide, but users should avoid sharing unredacted sensitive records when using it.

Before using this skill, provide only the datasets and paths needed for the audit, and redact or mask PII, secrets, tokens, customer identifiers, and proprietary fields where possible. Prefer aggregate summaries and safe sample fields in generated reports.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The skill explicitly instructs the agent to inspect data source definitions, schema files, pipeline code, and sample data, but it does not warn that these artifacts may contain sensitive information such as PII, credentials, proprietary business logic, or internal schema details. In a data-quality context, reviewing representative samples is normal, which makes the omission easy to overlook and increases the chance that an agent will over-collect, echo, or expose sensitive contents in reports or logs.
