investor-search

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a transparent investor-research workflow that writes scoped local CSV files and avoids credentials, hidden execution, and undisclosed data sharing.

Before installing, understand that this skill will create and reuse local investor-search CSV files in the agent working directory. Those files may contain public business research, named individuals, LinkedIn URLs, and local rejection notes; use it in a workspace appropriate for that data, especially if the working directory is shared. It does not need account credentials, CRM access, API keys, or broad local-file access.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Confidence
86% confidence
Finding
The instructions say to 'Use the language business is actually conducted in — not necessarily the country's' and prescribe how to choose that language from sampled sources. This imposes a language-selection policy based on the market rather than offering the user a choice or requiring opt-in, which matches the language/locale policy-violation criterion.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding
The instructions require using the English short name for markets and explicitly prohibit local-language names or user-provided variants. This is a natural-language locale policy constraint that forces a specific language choice rather than offering user selection or documenting a justified regional need.
