NowPayments Integration

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This skill explains how to add NowPayments crypto checkout to a store, and its sensitive payment-code and secret-handling steps are disclosed and fit that purpose.

Install only if you want an agent to modify your store's payment code. Keep the NowPayments API key and IPN secret server-side and out of source control, review the generated checkout and callback code carefully, and test in staging before accepting real payments.

Finding
The trigger phrase "Set up NowPayments for my store" is broad enough that it could match ordinary user requests and cause the agent to perform sensitive code-generation and payment-integration actions without sufficiently explicit intent. In a skill that creates backend endpoints, environment secrets, and payment callback handling, unintended activation increases the risk of unauthorized changes or unsafe automation in a production codebase.
