Task Router Skill

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

The skill is a disclosed task-router guide for coordinating OpenClaw agents, with expected but nontrivial persistence and cleanup behavior users should enable deliberately.

Install only if you want an OpenClaw task queue that persists state and can coordinate agents automatically. Review the heartbeat or cron setup before enabling it, keep agent capabilities narrow, and avoid the clear/cancel maintenance commands unless you have checked what queued work will be affected.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Rogue AgentSelf-Modification, Session Persistence
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Session Persistence

Category
Rogue Agent
Confidence
60% confidence
Finding

Skill establishes unauthorized persistence across sessions via cron jobs, startup scripts, or state files. Session persistence allows an attacker to maintain access beyond the current interaction.

Missing User Warnings

Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The skill documents destructive queue-clearing operations such as cancelling pending tasks and clearing the dead-letter queue without any warning, confirmation, scope limitation, or backup guidance. In an operational multi-agent environment, a user may run these commands during troubleshooting and unintentionally destroy queued work, forensic evidence, or recovery state.
