Security audit

pitch-deck

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

The skill uses Canvora to create requested presentations, with clearly described cloud processing and credit costs.

Use documents and text you are authorized to share with Canvora, and review its privacy terms before submitting confidential material. Expect credit spending when requesting generation. The separate Canvora CLI and setup skill were not included in this review.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Output HandlingUnvalidated Output Injection, Cross-Context Output, Unbounded Output
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
Findings (1)

The workflow sends source documents and user-written content to Canvora without an explicit privacy warning.

Finding

The skill instructs the agent to pass source documents directly to Canvora, and its canonical commands also submit user-written content for processing. Although it names Canvora and mentions server-side rendering, it does not explicitly warn users that their source material will be processed by a third-party service, potentially exposing confidential information.
