QuickBooks

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This QuickBooks skill is a disclosed accounting integration with high-impact write capability, but it repeatedly requires user confirmation and credential care.

Install this only if you want an agent to access QuickBooks through Maton. Use a least-privileged QuickBooks account, verify the connection ID, start with read-only checks, and require explicit confirmation before any invoice, payment, customer, deletion, batch, or other write action.

Finding
The skill says the gateway forwards arbitrary native API paths while also asserting that only endpoints in the API Reference are supported. That contradiction weakens safety boundaries: an agent may rely on the narrower allowlist claim, but in practice still be able to reach undocumented QuickBooks endpoints, including high-impact write operations. In an accounting integration, this increases the chance of unauthorized or insufficiently reviewed mutations.
