Security audit

Google Calendar

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed Google Calendar integration that uses Maton authentication and clearly warns before writes, automation, credential handling, or cross-app trigger use.

Install only if you are comfortable connecting Google Calendar through Maton. Approve new connections, writes, hosted functions, triggers, and destinations only after checking the target account, exact calendar/event, data that will flow, destination host, and whether the automation will keep running.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • MCP Tool PoisoningHidden Instructions, Unicode Deception, Parameter Description Injection
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The manifest says this skill is for interacting with Google Calendar and explicitly states that Google Calendar is not an event source, while this file documents Notion event types that can forward page content and comments from a Notion workspace. Even though the file says it is shared platform reference text, it still describes actionable non-Calendar capabilities available within the skill package, which does not match the skill's stated Google Calendar-only purpose.
