Security audit

Arrow

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This Apache Arrow reference skill mostly prints documentation, but one runnable Flight server example uses unsafe network defaults that could expose data if copied into a reachable environment.

Review the Flight example carefully before using it. Bind example services to localhost unless remote access is required, add TLS and authentication/authorization, set upload and memory limits, and pin dependencies instead of installing mutable latest versions.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Insecure DependenciesIntroduces malicious components through unsafe dependency sources
  • Insecure Skill Coding PracticesFinds exploitable flaws such as hardcoded secrets or command injection
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
