Vehicle Noise Memory

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a straightforward BlueColumn integration for storing and recalling vehicle-noise repair cases, with privacy precautions users should add before sending real shop data.

Before installing or using this skill with real repair orders, confirm BlueColumn's retention, deletion, access-control, and privacy terms. Avoid sending customer names, phone numbers, VINs, license plates, payment data, or unnecessary identifiers in audio URLs, notes, tags, or queries, and make sure the shop has consent and policy coverage for recording and uploading vehicle-service audio.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Missing User Warnings

Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The skill instructs users to upload recorded audio, vehicle details, mileage, repair notes, and diagnostic reasoning to a third-party API without any privacy, consent, or data-handling warning. Even if the content is business-related, clips and notes can contain personal data, customer identifiers, VIN-linked information, or sensitive operational data, creating privacy and compliance risk when transmitted externally.

External Transmission

Data Exfiltration
Confidence
93% confidence
Finding

This step sends externally hosted audio plus detailed free-form repair text to a third-party service, which is a real external data transmission. The danger is not the mere API call itself, but that the skill encourages uploading potentially sensitive shop and customer-associated information without minimization, validation of the remote audio source, or disclosure of third-party handling.

Record the noise with the vehicle context and what you found. BlueColumn transcribes the clip and indexes the structured record alongside it.

Finding

The recall query sends shop diagnostic text to an external service, which can reveal proprietary repair history, fleet patterns, and potentially customer-associated service information. In context, this is expected product functionality, but it still creates confidentiality and privacy exposure if users are not warned and data governance is not defined.

When a new car comes in with a noise, search the shop's own history first.

Finding

The note endpoint transmits technician hypotheses and repair-order context to an external system, potentially exposing internal troubleshooting practices, repair-order identifiers, and customer-linked service details. The skill normalizes sending this information off-platform without any privacy boundary or least-data guidance.
