Security audit

music-memory

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a simple music-practice memory guide that sends user-provided practice data to a disclosed BlueColumn/Supabase service, with no hidden code or local persistence.

Install only if you are comfortable sending practice recording URLs, lesson notes, and musical metadata to BlueColumn/Supabase. Get consent before logging another person's performance or coaching notes, and avoid including sensitive personal details unless BlueColumn's privacy and retention terms meet your needs.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Missing User Warnings

Medium

88% confidence
Finding
The skill explicitly instructs users to send recordings, lesson notes, and structured musical context to a remote third-party endpoint, but it does not clearly warn that potentially sensitive audio and personal coaching data will leave the local environment. This creates a privacy and consent risk, especially for student recordings or identifiable voice content, because users may not realize the scope of data transmission and retention.
