Security audit

github-memory

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This skill does what it says, but it would send and persist GitHub context in an external memory service without enough user control or privacy warning.

Review before installing, especially for private or company repositories. Only use this with repositories whose content is approved for BlueColumn storage, and avoid storing secrets, credentials, confidential issue details, or sensitive operational context unless your organization has approved the service and retention model.

Finding
The skill instructs agents to send GitHub issue, PR, and repository context to an external persistent memory service, but it does not clearly warn users that potentially sensitive project data will leave the local agent environment and be retained by a third party. This creates a meaningful privacy and data-governance risk, especially if internal repository details, private issue content, reviewer names, or operational context are stored without explicit user awareness or consent.
