Security audit

youtube-search-aisa

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a documented YouTube search helper that sends user search terms to the AISA API using an API key, with no hidden persistence or unrelated local access found.

Install this only if you are comfortable sending YouTube search queries, country/language filters, and your AISA API key to api.aisa.one. Avoid it for private or sensitive research terms, and do not use it when you need direct Google APIs or fully local browsing/scraping.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

Data is being sent to an external URL. This could be legitimate telemetry or data exfiltration. Manual review is recommended.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

This code file performs outbound network requests to a third-party API, sending query parameters derived from user input and an Authorization bearer token. Although the module docstrings describe the API client generally, there is no explicit user-facing warning, confirmation, or disclosure that searches and related metadata will be transmitted off-host.
