Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

The skill is mostly a transparent planning workflow, but it can lead users to store bot tokens or credentials in workspace documents without safeguards.

Review generated deployment documents before saving them. Do not put live bot tokens, API keys, passwords, or app credentials into templates, chat, memory files, reports, or source control; use placeholders plus environment variables or a secret manager instead. Confirm the target workspace path before allowing the skill to write handoff files.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Insecure Skill Coding PracticesFinds exploitable flaws such as hardcoded secrets or command injection
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally

- channel / group / chat:

Technical Analysis

The deployment intake template includes a field where users may enter a platform token or credential. The broader workflow instructs users to obtain bot tokens or application credentials for Telegram, Feishu, and Discord, while generated documents may be written into the target agent workspace.

The package provides no corresponding instruction to:

  • Keep secret values out of workspace documents and chat history.
  • Use placeholders or redacted identifiers.
  • Store credentials in environment variables or an approved secret manager.
  • Exclude completed intake documents from version control.
  • Restrict access permissions or rotate accidentally disclosed credentials.

Consequently, a user following the template literally may persist a live credential in plaintext. Such a document could subsequently be included in source control, backups, logs, shared workspace context, or future agent sessions.

This finding concerns unsafe secret-handling guidance. The audit found no evidence that the skill itself transmits credentials externally or intentionally steals them.

Attack Path

  1. The skill initiates the documented platform-deployment workflow.
  2. The user creates a bot or application and obtains its platform credential.
  3. The user enters the live secret into the template's token / credential field.
  4. The completed intake document is saved in the target agent workspace.
  5. The workspace is committed, backed up, shared, logged, or exposed to another agent or collaborator.
  6. An unauthorized party retrieves the credential and uses the associated platform API as the ...[truncated 872 chars]

Remediation Suggestions

  1. Remove the free-text secret field and replace it with a non-sensitive status field:

    markdown
    - Credential configured in approved secret storage: yes / no
    - Credential reference or environment-variable name:
    - Never enter the credential value in this document.

  2. Add an explicit rule to SKILL.md, the deployment guide, and the template prohibiting secrets in:

    • Workspace documents.
    • Memory files.
    • Chat messages.
    • Reports and handoff maps.
    • Source control.
  3. Require platform credentials to be supplied through environment variables, encrypted deployment-platform secret storage, or an approved secrets manager.

  4. Permit only redacted metadata in generated documents, such as the credential name, owner, creation date, final four identifier characters, and rotation status.

  5. Add repository protections, including secret-scanning hooks and ignore rules for local deployment configuration containing sensitive values.

  6. Apply least-privilege platform scopes and restrict bot access to only the required chats, channels, events, and API operations.

  7. Document an incident procedure requiring immediate credential revocation and rotation if a live secret is entered into chat, memory, a workspace document, a commit, or a log.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
93% confidence
Finding

The manifest-facing name and description are entirely in Chinese, and the document provides no indication that users may interact in other languages or choose their preferred locale. Under the policy criteria, forcing a specific language without opt-in is a natural-language policy violation unless the locale restriction is explicit and justified.

Intent-Code Divergence

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
91% confidence
Finding

The document claims the skill is not responsible for final creation, but later makes creation-adjacent actions mandatory, including writing artifacts into target workspaces and guiding platform integration. This inconsistency can bypass user expectations and reviewer assumptions, causing an agent to perform operational actions under the guise of a planning skill.

Description-Behavior Mismatch

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
90% confidence
Finding

The skill extends from advisory planning into mandatory writes to a target Agent workspace and deployment/channel onboarding guidance. That broadens scope from analysis to side-effecting operational actions, increasing the chance of unauthorized file modification, workspace contamination, or steering users into unintended deployment steps without an explicit authorization boundary.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
94% confidence
Finding

This markdown file presents all guidance exclusively in Chinese, and it does not indicate that the user can choose another language or that the skill is intentionally limited to a Chinese-speaking audience. Under the language/locale policy rule, forcing a specific language without opt-in is a natural-language policy violation.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

This markdown file appears to require Chinese proficiency for understanding and use, but it does not provide any user opt-in, alternative language option, or explanation that the skill is intentionally region- or language-specific. Under the policy, forcing a specific language without user choice is a natural-language policy concern.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
93% confidence
Finding

The entire skill document is written only in Chinese and provides no indication that users may choose another language or that the skill is intended solely for a Chinese-language or China-specific context. Under the stated policy, a fixed language constraint without opt-in or clear justification is a natural-language policy violation.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The skill content is entirely in Chinese with no indication that the user selected or understands that language. This can cause users or downstream agents to misunderstand instructions, apply the skill incorrectly, or be unable to verify its behavior, which is a safety and reliability issue in multilingual environments.

Finding

This markdown file presents the operational guidance entirely in Chinese, which constitutes a language/locale constraint in the skill's natural-language behavior. The file does not indicate that Chinese is optional, user-selected, or required for a documented region-specific purpose.

Finding

The entire skill document is written in Chinese and provides no indication that users may choose another language or locale. Under the stated policy, forcing a specific language without opt-in is a natural-language policy concern unless the locale constraint is documented and justified.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
91% confidence
Finding

This markdown template uses Chinese headings and labels throughout, which imposes a specific language without any visible opt-in, alternative locale, or statement that the skill is intended only for Chinese-speaking users. Under the policy for natural-language constraints, this is a language/locale restriction that should be explicitly justified or made optional.

Not specified by scanner
Confidence
91% confidence
Finding

This markdown template presents all user-facing headings and prompts in Chinese, which can impose a specific language on users without any stated opt-in or justification. Under the language/locale policy, a skill should either offer language choice or clearly document that it is intended for a Chinese-only context.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
93% confidence
Finding

The template headings and field labels are entirely in Chinese, which creates an implicit language requirement for users of the skill. The file does not state that Chinese is optional, user-selected, or justified by a region-specific use case, so it appears to enforce a locale without opt-in.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low

Confidence
86% confidence
Finding

The checklist items are written entirely in Chinese with no indication that language selection is optional or user-configurable. This can violate a language/locale policy when a skill template implicitly requires a specific language without opt-in or justification.

Confidence
94% confidence
Finding

The template headings and prompts are written entirely in Chinese, which imposes a specific language on users. Under the policy, locale or language constraints should either be optional or clearly justified; no such opt-in or justification is present here.
