AIsa Perplexity Search Sonar

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a straightforward AIsa-backed web research client that sends user queries to its documented external API and does not show hidden persistence, destructive behavior, or unrelated access.

Install only if you are comfortable sending search prompts, optional system instructions, and the AIsa API credential to AIsa's API. Avoid putting private secrets or sensitive personal data in queries unless your AIsa account terms and data-handling expectations allow it.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
91% confidence
Finding

The skill declares access to an environment variable containing an API key and is intended to perform network-backed research, but it does not explicitly declare a tool scope such as permissions or allowed-tools. That creates an authorization ambiguity: hosts or users may invoke the skill without a clear, least-privilege boundary around network access and secret exposure, increasing the risk of unintended outbound requests or misuse of the configured API credential.

External Transmission

Medium
Category
Data Exfiltration
Confidence
60% confidence
Finding

Data is being sent to an external URL. This could be legitimate telemetry or data exfiltration. Manual review is recommended.

Missing User Warnings

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
91% confidence
Finding

This code sends the provided query and optional system instruction to a remote HTTPS endpoint, which can transmit user-supplied data off the local system. While the script purpose implies remote search, there is no explicit confirmation prompt, user-facing disclosure, or warning in the code near the network call or CLI arguments indicating that prompt contents will be sent to an external service.
