Pipeworx translate

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a simple translation skill that clearly uses a remote service, with no local code, persistence, or hidden privileges found.

Before installing, treat translated or language-detected text as being sent to a third-party service. Avoid submitting secrets, credentials, regulated data, or confidential content unless you trust that service and its data-handling practices.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The skill routes user-provided text to a remote translation endpoint but does not clearly warn users that their content leaves the local environment. This is dangerous because users may submit sensitive or regulated data assuming local processing, creating privacy, confidentiality, or compliance exposure.

External Transmission

Medium
Category
Data Exfiltration
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The example and configuration show that the skill transmits text to an external service over the network. While expected for a translation skill, this still creates a real data-exposure boundary because any text provided to the tool is disclosed to a third party.
