Osop Log

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill transparently creates local workflow/session log files, with a privacy caution because those logs may include task outputs or decision summaries.

Before installing, understand that this skill creates local session records. Avoid using it unchanged for sensitive work unless logs are stored outside version control and the agent redacts secrets, credentials, private prompts, and sensitive output details.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The skill directs the agent to create persistent session log files containing task descriptions, tool usage, timestamps, outputs, and explicit reasoning, but provides no safeguards against recording secrets, sensitive file contents, internal paths, or other confidential operational details. Because this data is written to local files by default, it can create an unintended audit trail that exposes sensitive information to other users, future commits, backups, or telemetry systems.
