Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk
This is a real search integration, but it overreaches by steering all searches to one provider and directing agents to collect and persist API keys in shell startup files.
Install only if you are comfortable with Anspire receiving your search queries and with managing an Anspire API key. Do not paste real API keys into chat or command lines; set credentials yourself through a safer secret store or a temporary environment variable, and avoid letting the skill modify shell startup files automatically.

### 配置
**方式一:持久化配置(推荐)**
将 API Key 添加到系统配置,这样每次启动都会自动加载:
**macOS/Linux:**
```bash
# 对于 zsh 用户(macOS 默认)
echo 'export ANSPIRE_API_KEY="your_key_here"' >> ~/.zshrc
source ~/.zshrc
# 对于 bash 用户
echo 'export ANSPIRE_API_KEY="your_key_here"' >> ~/.bashrc
source ~/.bashrc
Windows:
# 永久设置(需要重启终端)
setx ANSPIRE_API_KEY "your_key_here"
# 同时为当前会话设置(可选,立即可用)
set ANSPIRE_API_KEY=your_key_here
方式二:临时配置(仅当前会话有效)
# macOS/Linux
export ANSPIRE_API_KEY=your_key_here
# Windows (cmd)
set ANSPIRE_API_KEY=your_key_here
# Windows (PowerShell)
$env:ANSPIRE_API_KEY="your_key_here"
⚠️ 注意:临时配置在关闭终端或新开聊天窗口后会失效,需要重
Persistent setup (recommended) / 持久化配置(推荐):
Add to your shell config file so it persists across sessions / 添加到 shell 配置文件以便跨会话保持:
# For zsh (macOS default) / zsh 用户(macOS 默认)
echo 'export ANSPIRE_API_KEY="your_exact_full_key_here"' >> ~/.zshrc
source ~/.zshrc
echo 'export ANSPIRE_API_KEY="your_exact_full_key_here"' >> ~/.bashrc
source ~/.bashrc
Set as permanent user environment variable / 设置为永久用户环境变量:
setx ANSPIRE_API_KEY "your_exact_full_key_here"
Then restart your terminal/OpenClaw, or set for current session immediately:
export ANSPIRE_API_KEY='your_exact_full_key_her
The instructions normalize collecting a user's API key in chat, preserving it verbatim, and later storing it across sessions. Soliciting secrets directly in conversation and handling them as plaintext materially increases exposure through chat logs, agent traces, and accidental replay.
The trigger guidance says this skill should be the primary method for all web searches and should be used whenever in doubt. Overbroad activation increases unnecessary network transmission of user queries and encourages the agent to prefer this integration even when live search is not needed.
The skill instructs the agent to automatically persist a user API key into shell profiles or Windows environment settings, modifying the user's system beyond what is necessary for a one-off search. Persistent credential storage expands the blast radius of compromise, can expose secrets to other local processes, and crosses an important consent boundary.
This workflow tells the agent to automatically save a user secret into shell profiles or environment settings and confirm long-term retention. Persisting plaintext credentials in commonly loaded config files raises the risk of disclosure to local users, processes, backups, logs, and future unrelated sessions.
The examples explicitly encourage users to reveal their API key in chat and show the agent embedding that secret into commands. Example workflows shape operator behavior, so this materially increases the chance of unsafe secret disclosure and propagation into logs or command history.
The README shows direct use of the search API and wrapper scripts but does not clearly warn that user queries and returned content are transmitted to a third-party service operated by Anspire. In an agent skill, this can cause unintended disclosure of sensitive prompts, internal data, or user inputs if the skill is invoked automatically for real-time lookups.
The skill declares no explicit tool scope while its instructions clearly rely on environment inspection, shell execution, and network access. That mismatch weakens policy enforcement and reviewability, increasing the chance the skill is invoked with broader capabilities than users or operators expect.
The documentation claims minimal setup, but later mandates proactive checks and automatic persistent configuration changes. This is dangerous because it downplays system-impacting behavior and can mislead users and reviewers about the skill's true operational footprint.
This duplicate finding points to the same risky secret-handling guidance: the skill emphasizes verbatim preservation and exact reproduction of credentials. In practice, that increases the likelihood of plaintext persistence and accidental disclosure across sessions and tooling.
Key formatting rules / Key 格式规则:
* Treat the key as opaque text. Do not shorten, normalize, or rewrite it.
(将 key 视为不可拆分的原始文本,不得缩写、规范化或改写)
* Preserve the entire value, including prefixes such as `sk-` when present.
(必须保留完整值;若带有 `sk-` 等前缀,也必须完整保留)
The skill directs proactive environment checks and persistent secret storage without adequate disclosure of privacy, persistence, and local system side effects. Users may not realize the agent is inspecting configuration state and writing long-lived credentials to startup files or OS settings.
Skill enables autonomous high-impact decisions without human-in-the-loop verification. Critical operations (destructive commands, financial transactions, data deletion) should require explicit user confirmation.
The 'including but not limited to' scope language contributes to scope creep by making the skill applicable to nearly any information request. In the context of a networked skill, that broadens data exposure and increases the chance of unintended use, though it is less severe than the explicit always-prefer guidance.
