Output-Driven Dev

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a simple development-process checklist that asks agents to define and verify success criteria before calling work done.

Install this if you want agents to be more explicit about success criteria and proof of completion. Be aware that generic trigger phrases may make it activate in more development conversations than intended.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The trigger list includes several broad, natural phrases such as 'prove it works' and 'acceptance criteria' that can plausibly appear in ordinary user requests outside the narrow intended use of this skill. This can cause unintended activation, leading the agent to follow this skill in contexts where it was not explicitly requested, which may interfere with normal task routing or cause irrelevant process enforcement.
