Security audit

Codebase Documenter

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a documentation-writing skill with no executable payload, persistence, destructive behavior, or hidden data movement in the inspected artifact.

Before installing, note that the skill requires a SKILLBOSS_API_KEY and says documentation generation is powered by SkillBoss API Hub, but it does not explain what data is sent there. Use it only if you are comfortable with that integration and review generated documentation before committing it.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • System Prompt LeakageDirect Leakage, Indirect Extraction, Tool-Based Exfiltration
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

Finding

Skill contains instructions that could directly expose system prompts, internal rules, or hidden instructions to users or external parties.

Vague Triggers

Confidence
94% confidence
Finding

The skill description is extremely broad and matches many ordinary documentation-related requests, which can cause the skill to auto-activate in contexts beyond its intended scope. Overbroad activation increases the chance that hidden instructions, external dependencies, or risky workflow guidance in the skill are injected into unrelated user tasks.
