File Organizer By Ext

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a simple local file organizer, but users should understand it moves files in place and may overwrite or disrupt files if run carelessly.

Install only if you are comfortable with a tool that rearranges files in the directory where you run it. Test it on a non-critical folder first, avoid running it in directories with important existing extension folders, and keep backups for files you cannot afford to lose.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Insecure Skill Coding PracticesFinds exploitable flaws such as hardcoded secrets or command injection
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally

Finding

The skill advertises organizing files by moving them into extension-named folders, but it does not clearly warn users that execution will modify the target directory by relocating files. This can cause unintended disruption, break workflows that depend on current file locations, or lead users to run it in sensitive directories without understanding the side effects.
