Agentskill

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill coherently analyzes user-selected repositories to create AGENTS.md files, with expected local repository inspection and optional user-supplied reference handling.

Install this skill if you are comfortable letting it inspect the repositories you name and write AGENTS.md-style documentation. Use remote references only from sources you trust, because their AGENTS.md content can influence the generated guidance.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • MCP Tool PoisoningHidden Instructions, Unicode Deception, Parameter Description Injection
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

This finding references cloning remote git repositories via subprocess and reading their contents. Fetching and processing attacker-controlled remote repositories can expose the agent to untrusted content, expand data ingress, and potentially trigger unsafe downstream handling if shell arguments, paths, or follow-on tooling are not tightly controlled.
