Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill provides Android coding guidance with safeguards that fit its stated purpose.

Expect the agent to read and edit your Android project and run Gradle checks. Review dependency, permission, and database-migration changes; the skill requires asking before changing SDK levels.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Autonomous Decision Making

Category
Excessive Agency
Confidence
75% confidence
Finding

Skill enables autonomous high-impact decisions without human-in-the-loop verification. Critical operations (destructive commands, financial transactions, data deletion) should require explicit user confirmation.

- Module `build.gradle.kts`: `minSdk`, `targetSdk`, `compileSdk`, KSP or kapt, Compose enabled.
   - Existing conventions: package layout, base classes, dispatcher qualifiers, error types, test style.
2. Match the existing stack. Do not add a library the project does not use without saying so.
Do not change `minSdk`, `targetSdk` or `compileSdk` without asking.
3. Load the reference for the area being touched:
   [Coroutines and Flow](references/coroutines-flow.md), [Compose](references/compose.md),
[Hilt and Room](references/hilt-room.md), [Build and tooling](references/build.md),

- SDK numbers above are an example. Never change the project's `compileSdk`, `targetSdk` or `minSdk`
without asking; a `targetSdk` bump opts into behavior changes (see [Platform changes](platform.md)).
- Compiler options go in `kotlin { compilerOptions { } }`. `kotlinOptions {}` is deprecated.
- Recent AGP versions include built-in Kotlin support, so a separate `org.jetbrains.kotlin.android` plugin may
not be needed. Follow what the project's AGP version requires rather than adding plugins by habit.
