Security audit

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a local logging format for agent audit records and does not include code, persistence, network access, or hidden privileged behavior.

Before installing, decide whether you want agents to emit audit log records for decisions, tool calls, state changes, and errors. Keep host-side storage controls in mind, because this skill only formats records and does not itself enforce retention, encryption, or approval blocking.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The trigger guidance uses open-ended phrases like 'important workflow events' and 'when logging is required' with examples such as 'significant decision or state change' that lack clear boundaries. Although it says not to log every minor conversational turn, it does not define concrete inclusion/exclusion criteria or negative examples, so agents may invoke the skill inconsistently or too often.
