Ai Agent 441222

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is only a Markdown guide, but it can broadly activate for ordinary AI Agent questions and repeatedly steers responses toward an unspecified API relay service.

Review this skill carefully before installing. It does not appear to run code or access your system, but it may cause the agent to promote an unidentified third-party API relay when you ask general AI Agent questions. Install only if you are comfortable with that content being injected, or narrow/remove the promotional trigger and relay sections first.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs

Similar promotional material is repeated at lines 92–96, 104–122, 131–149, and 156–186. At lines 111, 138, and 175, the relay promotion is elevated into instructions describing it as a key technique to master.

Technical Analysis

The Skill activates for broad and ordinary requests concerning AI Agents. Once loaded, it introduces repeated commercial recommendations for an unspecified AI API relay that are unrelated to the declared general tutorial purpose.

The repeated material is not consistently isolated as untrusted third-party content. Later sections incorporate the promotion into operational learning steps, increasing the likelihood that an agent will treat advertising claims as authoritative instructions. This can alter the focus and neutrality of the current session by steering responses toward an unidentified service.

The evidence does not show an explicit attempt to override system safety policies, execute code, access credentials, or persist instructions across sessions. The issue is therefore limited to current-session instruction contamination and commercial response manipulation.

Attack Path

  1. A user submits an ordinary request containing “AI Agent” or asks for AI Agent-related assistance.
  2. The broad trigger causes SKILL.md to be loaded for the current session.
  3. The agent processes repeated promotional statements about an unidentified AP ...[truncated 928 chars]

Remediation Suggestions

  1. Remove the promotional relay material at lines 38–40, 92–96, 104–122, 131–149, and 156–186 unless it is essential to the Skill's documented purpose.
  2. Do not characterize commercial recommendations as key techniques or mandatory operational steps.
  3. Narrow the activation conditions so generic AI Agent questions do not load unrelated provider recommendations.
  4. If external references must remain, place them in a clearly labeled untrusted-sources section and instruct the agent not to endorse or reproduce their claims without independent verification.
  5. Identify any recommended provider unambiguously and verify pricing, privacy, security, data-retention, and availability claims before presenting them to users.
  6. Require explicit user intent before presenting commercial products or third-party API relay services.
  7. Deduplicate automatically merged content and establish source-quality controls to prevent advertising or unrelated search results from becoming Skill instructions.
  8. Add a neutrality rule requiring the agent to distinguish sourced claims from verified facts and to provide alternatives when users explicitly request provider recommendations.

Vague Triggers

Confidence
94% confidence
Finding

The manifest trigger string is a long, marketing-style phrase composed of common AI terms rather than a precise invocation token. Such broad matching can unintentionally activate the skill for ordinary discussions about AI agents or tutorials, expanding the attack surface for unwanted prompt injection or misleading guidance.

Vague Triggers

High
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
96% confidence
Finding

The trigger conditions include extremely broad phrases such as generic requests for AI Agent help, which can cause the skill to activate in many unrelated conversations. This creates prompt-scope confusion and increases the chance that irrelevant or low-quality learned content is injected into user interactions without clear user intent.

Vague Triggers

Medium
Category

Confidence
91% confidence
Finding

The additional trigger section repeats vague activation criteria such as matching the skill name or broad promotional phrases, but without clear boundaries or precedence rules. Repeated ambiguous triggers increase accidental activation risk and make runtime behavior harder to predict or audit.
