Taskmaster Tech

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a non-executable guide for TaskMaster API and on-chain escrow workflows, with financial risk that users should review carefully but no hidden or malicious behavior found.

Before using this skill, treat all wallet signatures, token approvals, escrow deposits, ratings, and releases as real financial actions. Confirm the chain, contract address, token address, amount, deadline, recipient or worker identity, and transaction hash before approving anything, and prefer least-privilege approvals.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The skill prominently instructs users to connect a wallet, obtain gas and USDC, approve tokens, create escrow, and submit on-chain transactions, but the top-level description does not warn that these actions can move funds irreversibly and incur real financial loss if performed incorrectly. In an agent-skill context, omission of this warning increases the chance that users or downstream agents treat the integration as routine API usage rather than financially sensitive blockchain activity.
