Cover Letter

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This cover-letter skill mostly does what it advertises, but it also includes an under-disclosed helper script that stores user-provided text and command history locally.

Review before installing. The main cover-letter generator appears local and purpose-aligned, but avoid putting sensitive personal details into the generic add/run commands unless you are comfortable with them being saved under the local cover-letter data directory. Clear that directory if you do not want retained history or stored entries.

Finding
The skill advertises a very broad trigger surface ('use when you need cover letter capabilities' and 'Triggers on: cover letter') without clear activation boundaries or required user intent. In agent systems, overly broad routing can cause the skill to activate in loosely related contexts, leading to unintended handling of user data or incorrect tool selection, though the content here is limited to document generation rather than high-risk actions.
